Guesthouse Elena , located at the foot of Piatra Craiului Mountain, offers the convenience you need, as well as high-quality services.
Established in 1998 as a direct result of our work with the international research and conservation project CLCP (Carpathian Large Carnivore Project), our family-run guest house supports and promotes eco- tourism.

Traditionally Romanian in its warm welcome and friendly atmosphere, Pension Elena has one apartment, 16 comfortable spacious rooms, 12 with en-suite showers , 4 rooms enjoy there own balcony with beautiful mountain views and 4 have a shared balcony. Book these early as they are very much in demand.

The pension has Wi-Fi access.

Elena personally takes charge of the kitchen, where meals are prepared with top quality , local produce, usually organic, with the emphasies on delicios classic Romanian dishes.

Elena is an expert vegetarian cook too, and her food delights our vegetarian guests with its variety, using fresh seasonal produce. Please enquire in advance. Yet another reson to choose pension Elena as vegetarian meals are notoriously difficult to find in Romania.
Gigi , Elena’s husband and other half of the team works to ensure our guests enjoy not only a traditional ambience but also the type of modern convenience that tourists these days have come to expect.
